Name of the personage: Beshr Haafi

Beshr Haafi, the great early Sufi and theologian, born in 767 / 769, Marv, but lived in Baghdad. He was a celebrated ascetic and scholar.

There is not much information on the first years of his life but there is no doubt that he had a life of depravity in the first ages of his life. Beshr was contemporary with "Imam Kazem" (p.b.u.h.) and repented of what he had done in the presence of the Imam. He loved the Prophet (Muhammad) and his family (The Shia Imams). Beshr died in 842.
